Vision

Our vision is to use education as the vehicle of social change. For this reason, we strive to partner with other organizations who provide guidance, educational programs and recreational activities that seek prevention instead of remediation to the current social programs experienced by our community.

Community

With our financial support to Sol del Valley Community Center, education and recreational programs such as summer camps for children ages 4 to 14, after-school and homework club programs, tutoring and music classes, soccer leagues, citizenship classes and parenting workshops have been made available to the community.

Education

For a number of years, Sun Valley CARE Development has sponsored a college work-study program that enables local and international students access to higher education. This program allows students to cover their tuition costs and student housing through part time jobs at our organization and local partners.

Our work-study program allows students to pursue and secure professional careers in the following fields: health care, education, engineering, business, marketing, and communications, and social sciences.

Our organization has offered scholarships to more than 120 students (including both local and international participants).
